- Will solar equipment work in the winter? Yes! Cold days = sunny days. Our challenge in the winter is not the availability of a sunny day…the challenge is the reduced amount of sunlight with shorter days. Think of a cold -20 February day in Southern Ontario….you need sun glasses!
- Will Solar Power equipment ruin my roof? NO. If you are willing to put a sattelite dish, an air vent or a sunlight on the roof why would solar be any different? Hire quality, experienced people who take care and pride in their work. Any job that is rushed, cut corners, will lead to poor workmanship.
- Do I need a new roof? You can install renewable energy anywhere on the planet…is your project for a new roof or FREE power? Put renewable energy equipment where it will have maximum exposure to the sun. If you need a roof, get one because you NEED it, not because you think you have to in order to install solar on it.
- How much does it cost? We have solar lights starting at $30.00 and we have full out 10kW Micro-Fit projects with equipment investments up to $80,000.00. Honestly, what you pay is all up to you, about your goals and budget. Basic pool heat, with 2 solar water heat collectors will cost less than $1800.00 and save you that much in the next season or two.
- How do I know it will work? If you are working with an established local supplier than you are working with people that have the experience to serve your needs. Solar PV, Evacuated Tubes, LED lighting are not new technologies. What is new is the population in the western part of the world are looking to reduce their reliance on fossil fuels. Browse the internet and you will find solar water heating is a standard piece of equipment on homes and business elsewhere. It is up to us to make that a reality in this part of the world as well.

Solar Water heat – for domestic purposes (showers, dish washing, clothes washing), for Space Heating (old fashion radiant hot water heat), In floor heating systems, Water boilers, snow melt systems, pools. hot tubs……any necessity for hot water can be serviced with Solar Water Heat - Solar Photovoltaic Electricity (PV) – to run lighting, entertainment devices, pumps, appliances..whatever necessity for electrical power in the home, business or garage.
- LED lighting – by installing low wattage super bright LED lights, you can power the electrical needs in the house with a lot less solar PV panels
Clients should be aware of their energy demands, in watts, and work to reduce reliance on traditional fuel sources. All renewable energy is supplemental to your existing system.
